Are these screws compatible with other-brand bone plates?
Do not assume cross-brand compatibility. Mevidon locking screws must match the intended plate interface. Even with non-locking cortical screws, nominal size alone does not prove compatibility; verify head geometry, thread dimensions, drivers and the relevant system documentation.
Do the screws need to be removed after the bone heals?
Not necessarily. Whether an implant remains in place or is removed is a veterinary decision based on the patient, implant instructions, healing and any complications such as infection, loosening or discomfort. Do not infer a universal implantation lifetime from the material alone.
